24 February 2010. A glorious day for some students of MSPSBS. Proud parents watched with pride as their children went up on stage to receive awards for Best Academic Achievements.
A total of 55 students from MSPSBS who formerly sat for their PMB, GCE 'O' Levels and GCE 'A' Levels in 2009, were recognised for their efforts in achieving excellent results.
The guest of honour of the day is Belait District Officer, Hj. Jamain Hj. Momin, who also had the credit of handing the award to his daughter for her 'O' Levels results in which she received eight A1s.
"Students should have goals, be more competitive, creative and be motivated, as they are the ones who will be the leaders of the future," said Hj. Jamain in his speech.
Principal of MSPSBS Dk. Sarimah Pg Hj Ahmad also congratulated the parents for giving the students a "solid foundation" needed for the success of their children, particularly in the areas of discipline, as well as moral and spiritual values.
"There is no point in having a high level of education if the students forget their roots and are not proud of their identity as Bruneian, an identity that is famous for being humble and possessing good manners," Dk. Sarimah highlighted in her welcoming speech.
The ceremony was followed by an acoustic guitar performance, a singing performance and also a classical instruments performance that were presented by the talented MSPSBS students.
